Galena was a prisoner inside a jail where she was abused by the jailers. Echo and Paul Ballard rescued her from the prison during Echo's time outside of the L.A. Dollhouse. The rescue, while done to free Galena was also done to prepare Echo for liberating Actives from the L.A. Dollhouse. (S2: "Meet Jane Doe")
