Matt is a wealthy client of the Dollhouse who favors Echo's services.

In "Ghost", Matt hires Echo as an unnamed dream date. Their wiped activities together include meeting Matt's family and friends, a motorcycle race through L.A., partying, and sex. After their finishing her engagement, Echo leaves with Matt keeping a necklace, implied to have been given to her. Boyd Langton later comments that Echo may have found the perfect guy for her.

Echo is once again hired by Matt for a dream date involving ropes and a camera during sex. Unfortunately, Echo goes out of mission when the camera malfunctions and the TV turns to a news story about an incident at Freemont College. She leaves Matt tied to the bed posts.
