The Thought-Pocalypse, so named by Topher Brink, refers to the downfall of civilization caused by the Rossum Corporation, spanning from approximately 2013 to 2020. In a series of robocalls, Rossum wiped most of the world and imprinted many as Butchers and Wielders to kill and imprint everyone else, so that the "deserving few" could benefit while the rest suffered. They were opposed by two main groups, the survivors led by Echo, and the ex-Actives called Tech Heads.
